The challenge
Investors had to wait for periodic email reports. No real-time insight into their portfolio, no central place for documents, and no overview of returns.
The analysis
The information existed but was spread across reports, documents and internal sources. Analysis focused on one reliable data model and strict access boundaries: investors may only see their own positions, while administrators need controlled access across relationships.

A custom-built investment portal where investors log in and see their portfolio instantly. Real-time values, documents, and reports in one place. Secure access with role-based permissions.
Why custom software
Portfolio structures, return views and document rights are specific to Van Maaren's service. Custom software avoids squeezing sensitive data into a generic portal model and lets each role see exactly what it needs.
Technology
Nuxt and Vue power the responsive dashboard. Supabase provides relational data, authentication, storage and role-based access; Cloudflare supports secure delivery. Validation and authorization are enforced at interface and data levels.

The portal is in development. Its intended result is one secure environment where investors can access current information and documents, while Van Maaren gains a controlled publishing process. Outcomes will be validated after launch.
